The Health Department works with some of the local school systems to provide social work care to the students during the school year. This dedicated personnel assists school staff in not only the child’s physical well-being but also with emotional and social needs. These are contracted services that the school details what types of care will be assisted with.

The Health Department also works with the schools during different times of the year to provide immunizations on-site to assist parents in vaccinating their child without having to take off work or take the child out of school.
